37th View of Fuji After Hokusai This Print is remarkable for its vibrant colors and extraordinary amount of movement afforded by the patterns and colors scaling the surface of Mt. Fuji. The swirling rainbow of color emanating from the top of the mountain gracefully winds through the sky, disappearing to the right side of the Pirnt. The Sky in the Background maintains a refreshing calmness throughout the explosion of color and action.
#63 - Fall is coming and I am happy As the leaves drift down, a little owl looks out cheerfully; the off-center stance enhances the gentle movement of the falling leaves in this charming image
#482 - Ox and Sun A little Ox beneath a large sun, cheerfully raises its tail; a nice contrast in shape, color and line, as well as an interesting use of space
#524 - Warrior Wonderful and unique image of a fierce and funny warrior with pitchfork; this is one of the few Prints in which the Artist departs from the depiction of animals; he demonstrates, once again, his great skill, originality and humour
#382 - Monk Before Mountains Fine gradations of color in the distant mountain range - a small figure of a monk walks alone in the snow covered landscape
#546 - Moonbeams A large Print and very appealing image, unique with its curvilinear pattern and the gentle, open-eyed look of the young girl with cat.
#430 - Professor Thoughtful Owl looks out searchingly, its body slightly tipped to one side and feathers slightly askew; Akiyama has created an expressive, appealing image
#806 - Seven Wise Men This dramatic and humorous Print is one of a kind both for its size and complexity. The interplay of glances between the owls and each owl's unique direction of focus gives them a sense of individuality, a relieved contrast to their cramped proximity. They are arranged from tallest to shortest, with the sky seeming to mirror their relative heights.
#545 - Grace lovely seated nude, her curvilinear form spiraling upwards in sensuous curves, where a mass of black hair contrasts with the open line of the figure
#865 - What's Happening Wonderful image of Crows, communicating with each other - their beaks, eyes, bodies and claws wonderfully rendered in an exciting composition
#97 - Winter Lodging The little monk, a favorite motif, makes his way to a hut in the snow, accompanied by a poem added by the Artist in beautifully carved letters, in most of the 'little monk' images
